Semonzo del Grappa
Small village about 1,5h away from Venice, situated on the southern edge of the Alps. One of the best paragliding and hang-gliding spot in Europe. I came there for the first time in October 2013 and I’ve returned a few times since then.

Usual day in Semonzo
So… how many paraglides can you count? :-)

Mt Grappa
The actual flying starts on the Mount Grappa, there are a few spots to take off depending on the wind direction. Da Bepi is my favourite one.

A few boring pictures from up there
btw. I really like this feeling when you gain altitude and fly above taking off place.

Catching up with friends
It can get tricky to spot a fellow paraglider among the others, but it’s nice to fly together.

Cima Grappa
During my 3rd trip here I finally managed fly high enough to see it from the sky.

Landing
It’s quite easy to land here in opposite to crowded Monaco, with its narrow streets and tightly packed houses. On the other hand, you don’t want to land in vineyard.

Me
Yeah, I think I can count on one (maybe two) hands photos of me available here. Anyway last year I had enough of November’s cloudy weather and no sun at all, we packed and went to Semonzo for a week. I’m envy people who can eat dinner in their gardens all year round… I think that sun is the main reason why I could move to another part of the world one day in the future.

Bassano del Grappa
Closest city to Semonzo. Lovely old town, charming piazzas, tasty ice cream. Every time I’m here something different happens. I’m not sure if it’s a usual thing here or I’m just lucky.

Antique market
On Sunday people takes their old stuff and sell it on the market. It’s not the first time when I see such thing. Anyway, even if you don’t want to buy anything here, it’s nice to see.

Montelvini
A winery, really good one, I enjoy drinking their wines! Every time I’m here I buy more bottles and when I’m back home the bottles get empty in no-time.

Venice
This city was on my “I really don’t care” list (with Paris being at the 1st place). In my eyes it was overrated & had “too strong romantic connotations”. But it looks good, there are no cars in the center (on the other hand - no bikes too), and the smell wasn’t that bad. Now I’m neutral about Venice. I can get there in the future.

Old italian architecture
I really like all those old Italian cities, they look stunning!

and a few more photos from Venice

Verona
So if I told about “strong romantic connotations” in Venice, how it happend that I made it to Verona? I have no idea :) But again - the city is simply beautiful.

Juliet house
Tons of tourists and young couples, not really my place.

Old part of the city
Now that’s something I enjoy. We walked all around the old city, climbed up to the Lamberti tower. Really worth seeing! Don’t spend too much time on touching Juliet, instead just walk around!

Tower Lamberti
You can get up using elevator or go on stairs. It’s something really worth doing here. The city looks awesome from up there!

Verona arena
Before I get to the Italy for the first time (which was so far far ago I don’t even remember…) I thought there’s the Colloseum in Rome and that’s it. I was surprised when I found one here.

We’ve been to Cittadela and at Garda lake but no pictures from there at this time. So far it’s my favourite region of Italy, I’m pretty sure I’ll come back here a few more times.
